Goodbye, Magnolia.
No farewell this time. Just a little note and some links to disaster-recovery tools. As you probably already read elsewhere, the online bookmarking tool once known as Magnolia suffered a severe data (and backup data) loss in the last weeks.
I’ve happily used Magnolia since its beginnings to handle bookmarks online, and publish them on the sidebar of this very blog, replacing my own MoveableType-based bookmarking tool (essentially, a mini-blog) that was complex and really painful to use.
I was so good at bookmarking timewaster links all day long (productivity is evil, my friends) that they even made me a “featured linker”. Wow.
The links I used to save prior to Magnolia are listed on this page.
I managed to recover some of the thousands bookmarks archived in Magnolia those years.
Here they are (well, most of them), for posterity, until Magnolia rises again, or until I’ll find a new online bookmarking system.
Pardon any weird characters and accents (I’m manually cleaning the list).
Also, the list is incomplete: looks like there’s a character limit in MT blogposts.
